3_rgb_blackbbcSaffron Hall is delighted to announce an innovative partnership with the BBC.

From Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 January, the Norwegian pianist Christian Ihle Hadland and friends will join us at Saffron Hall for a three-concert residency, with all performances recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3 the following week.

The wide-ranging programme, which will be introduced from the stage by presenter Sara Mohr-Pietsch, features well-loved chamber works by Mozart, Beethoven, Dvořák and Brahms together with intriguing music from the British Isles and the Nordic nations.

Christian Ihle Hadland is widely recognised as one of Norway’s most exciting young piano talents, and was selected for the prestigious BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme in 2011. Christian will be will be joined for this musical journey by three other leading chamber musicians he collaborates with closely: Russian violinist Boris Brovtsyn, Norwegian viola player Lars Anders Tomter and English cellist Adrian Brendel.
