Saffron Hall welcomes a host of special guests including Tracy-Ann Oberman and Philip Jackson  on Saturday 3 December for composer Neil Brand’s adaption of A Christmas Carol.

Charles Dickens’ seasonal classic has been adapted for actors, the BBC Singers and the BBC Symphony Orchestra and includes Philip Jackson (Robin of Sherwood, Poirot, Raised by Wolves) as Ebenezer Scrooge and Tracy-Ann Oberman (Eastenders, Doctor Who) and West End actor Carl Prekopp as his ghostly guides. The Yuletide favourite sees the world’s favourite skinflint learn the error of his ways, the pleasure of generosity, and the true meaning of Christmas.  The first half of the performance features a selection of contemporary music and songs for the season of Advent.
