Event Co-ordinator

£22,000 – £24,000
35hrs p/w, will include evening and weekend work.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and highly organised Event Co-ordinator to work as part of a growing team to deliver our world-class series of concerts and learning & participation events. This is an important role within Saffron Hall’s team and is key in developing excellent systems and supporting Programming, Marketing, Learning & Participation, Front of House and the concerts team in a developing programme. Applicants will have at least one year of experience within the arts.

Minibus Driver (Casual)

Casual Working Contract
Predominantly Friday evening and weekend work.

Reporting to the Technical & Operations Director, whilst on shift the Minibus Driver is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the free minibus service between Audley End station and Saffron Hall. They will provide at all times a warm and friendly welcome for audience members and a safe journey to the Hall.

To continue the running of our well established minibus service, Saffron Hall is recruiting to a small team of drivers, whose shifts are scheduled across the team by the Front of House Manager.  Successful candidates must hold a category D1 driving licence and be over 21 years of age.

Front of House Duty Manager (Casual)

Casual Working Contract
Predominantly Friday evening and weekend work

Reporting to the Technical & Operations Director, whilst on shift the Duty Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of Saffron Hall’s front of house operations as well as the identification and implementation of long term strategies for Front of House management development. They lead and develop the team of volunteer front of house staff, in both their activity and their approach, to provide at all times a safe, warm, friendly and vibrant environment for audiences, visitors and staff. Alongside the Box Office Supervisor, Bar Manager and Technical & Operations Manager, they take a lead role in maintaining excellent customer service.

Catering Supervisor

Minimum 3 hour shifts on concert & event days (weekends and evenings)
Mainly seasonal hours (September to July)
£12 per hour

Reporting to the Catering Manager of Saffron Hall, the Catering Supervisor is responsible on shift, for the organising and delivery of catering at Saffron Hall concerts & events. Duties include managing the catering team when on shift, briefing staff on running times and event information, set-up and pack down of the bar, café and artist’s bar areas and trouble-shooting any issues relating to the successful execution of the catering operation at concerts & events. Successful candidates will have experience managing a team in an events based environment and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Bar/Catering casual staff

Minimum 3 hour shifts on concert & event days (weekends and evenings)
Mainly seasonal hours (September to July)
Reporting to the Catering Manager of Saffron Hall, you will be responsible for providing first-rate customer service within the catering team at Saffron Hall concerts & events. Duties include set-up and pack down of the bar, café and artist’s bar areas, serving customers, maintaining the areas in all aspects of hygiene, and cashing up and money management. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and customer service skills, an enthusiastic attitude, and able to work evenings and weekends. Experience working within a bar/hospitality environment is desirable.

Volunteer

Our volunteers are essential to the running of Saffron Hall. Whether they are showing audience members to their seats, selling programmes or setting out interval drinks, our volunteers are the first port of call for our visiting audience, providing a friendly face and a warm welcome! 

As our activities expand we are looking for more people to join our volunteer team to:
• Steward and actively support concerts and community participation events
• Play a role in ensuring a welcoming, safe and accessible environment for all
• Act as an ambassador for Saffron Hall
