Due to the current circumstances, the Castalian String Quartet and Saffron Hall Trust have taken the decision to postpone the concert scheduled to take place on Wednesday 1 April.
A new date is under discussion and we will announce this as soon as possible. Your tickets will be transferred to the new date once it has been announced. Please do not dispose of your current tickets as they will still be valid for the new date. As soon as we are able to confirm the new date, we will be in touch.
**Hannah Shaw is no longer able to appear with The Castalian String Quartet on Wednesday 1 April 2020. We are delighted that the quartet will now be joined by Pablo Hernan-Benedi.
There has also been a change to the advertised programme. Thomas Adès’s The Four Quarters will now be performed instead of Arcadiana.**
The Castalian String Quartet are one of the most exciting and inspirational young quartets performing today, and are always welcome guests at Saffron Hall. This time, they’re bringing some friends to perform Brahms’ first String Quintet and his glorious second Sextet: music that glows with melody even while it bursts with life.
