Choir 2000 & the Sampson Orchestra
Choir 2000 & the Sampson OrchestraPresented by Saffron Hall
Le Laudi (1924) by the Swiss composer Hermann Suter, is based on the ‘Canticle of the Sun’ by St Francis of Assisi. The work was a triumph on the continent, with over 80 performances, yet this glorious oratorio unfortunately never made it to Britain. In June 2009, Choir 2000 gave it its first UK performance in Cambridge to great acclaim.
Choir 2000 are delighted to perform Le Laudi again and look forward to presenting this exciting work at Saffron Hall.
