Essex’s top Youth Orchestra with renowned conductor, Robin Browning will perform a fantastic popular mix of Russian repertoire including favourites from Shostakovich and Rimsky-Korsakov. Essex Youth Orchestra will perform the vibrant and rhythmic Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov and will be joined by soloist Daniel Lebhardt to perform the highly regarded Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2. Soloist Daniel, in 2014, at the age of 22, won 1st Prize at the Young Concert Artists auditions in Paris and New York. This summer he won the Most Promising Pianist prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition. Over the last year he has made his debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Merkin Concert Hall in New York and Festspiel Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. He also recorded music by Bartók for Decca and given recitals throughout the UK. Future engagements include performances of Rachmaninov Concerto No.2 with the Auburn and Dearborn Symphony Orchestras in Washington and Michigan.
