Foyer Jazz

Presented by Saffron Hall

End the week with a laid-back evening in the Saffron foyer. A well-stocked bar, food truck Road Dogs serving a American-style hot dogs and fries, plus live music from the Paul Higgs Quintet. Eat, drink, get into the swing and unwind!

Paul Higgs presents a delightful musical tour of the history of jazz, playing hits by the legendary greats – Bix Beiderbecke, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker and Miles Davis, among others. He takes the audience through the styles of New Orleans, swing and bebop, through cool jazz, modal and Latin, with an outstanding performance.

“Paul Higgs displays a gorgeous tone, unflagging inspiration, stylistic cognisance at its most perceptive and enviably faultless chops to boot!” Digby Fairweather, BBC presenter (Radio 2 and 3) and jazz trumpeter.
