Gabriel

Gabriel

Presented by Saffron Hall

Alison Balsom
With music by Purcell, Handel and their contemporaries, resplendent trumpeter Alison Balsom and the English Concert present Gabriel: an exuberant musical and theatrical evocation of late 17th-century London in all its colour, its clamour and its glorious chaos. First seen at Shakespeare’s Globe, this reimagining gives heart and soul to a teeming, joyous entertainment that (according to the Daily Telegraph) “leaves you giddy with pleasure and fully smitten”.
