Saffron Opera Group - Die Walküre

Saffron Opera Group - Die Walküre

Presented by Saffron Hall

Saffron Opera Group

With their outstanding performance of Das Rheingold, Saffron Opera Group achieved an outstanding level of success which exceeded even the epic scale of their ambition. Now SOG, a local ensemble of growing international stature, continues its journey through Wagner’s Ring Cycle with a concert performance of Die Walküre, and the second instalment of the sequence promises to be every bit as thrilling as the first. Wagner expert Michael Thorne leads a superb cast of international soloists and an orchestra of invited musicians, in an epic story of incestuous love, terrible ambition, and devastating defiance.

This performance will last for approximately 5 hours and 50 minutes including two intervals. Act 1 will last for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, followed by a 30 minute interval. Act 2 will last for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, followed by an interval of 1 hour 15 minutes. Act 3 will last for approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.
