Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Presented by Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

A close up of the entire Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra in concert.

The Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra are delighted to present another new commission, this time from young Canterbury-based composer Lewis Edmunds, which promises to be an exciting and dramatic work to open the concert.

The SWSO is delighted to welcome Alex Reid as their soloist to play Rachmaninov's lyrical Rhapsody, replacing Jérôme Sadler who has unfortunately had to withdraw form the concert. The concert ends with one of Tchaikovsky’s most tuneful and energetic works, his Symphony No.2, packed full of folk tunes and fun.
