Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra & Saffron Walden Choral Society

Presented by Saffron Hall

Saffron Walden Choral Society with the Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra and Saffron Walden Choral Society join forces in a concert showcasing the musical talent of the town’s two largest community music ensembles. The orchestra will play Bernstein’s ever-popular Symphony Dances from West Side Story and the choir will sing Tippett’s wonderful Spirituals, conducted by James Davey. The second half of the concert is devoted to Walton’s spectacular oratorio Belshazzar’s Feast, chronicling the downfall of the blasphemous king. Featuring a baritone soloist and two off-stage brass bands this is surely a spectacle not to be missed!
