To hear Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 performed live is to travel back in time, and to experience some of the greatest choral music of any era. It’s a masterpiece that crosses the centuries, and it’s performed today by Harry Christophers and The Sixteen – artists who have spent a lifetime immersed in Monteverdi’s extraordinary imagination.
