A brand new arts project involving music, drama, writing, film, singing and creative movement, all inspired by you
A sackful of letters is discovered in a disused corner of the sorting office. Letters unopened, never delivered. Through music, drama, film and movement these letters will finally be opened.
A brand new arts project is starting this Spring in Saffron Walden, and we are searching for local adults to join us in discovering the hidden stories that lie within our town and our people. Connecting through our stories and exploring our histories with a team of professional musicians and theatre makers, we will explore and celebrate our town, our people, our history.
The Lost Letters project will involve music, drama, writing, film, song, creative movement, all inspired by you.
No prior arts experience necessary – just a curiosity and willingness to try something new. This project is a chance to make new friends and to speak out about matters to you, through art.
We are running a Drop-in Open Session on Friday 26 April at 7-8pm at Fairycroft House. This is a relaxed drop-in session to meet the director of the project, have a chat and see if you feel that it is right for you. A good opportunity to ask questions, and even maybe have a go at something creative.
If you sign up to the project, we’d ask you to commit to all/most of the following dates:
10 Weekly Sessions:
Fridays, 7-9pm, starting Friday 10 May (no session Friday 31 May)
3 Weekend Sessions:
Sunday 23 June – afternoon
Sunday 14 July – afternoon
Sunday 21 July – afternoon, with early evening Celebration Event!
Weekly sessions will take place at Fairycroft House, Saffron Walden, Audley Road, Saffron Walden CB11 3HD.
