BBC Sounds Mindful Mix with David Attenborough

This three hour continuous mix, introduced by Sir David Attenborough, features a blissful selection of classical music of all styles interspersed with sounds from the natural world from the BBC’s Natural History Archive. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a lazy Sunday morning or perhaps something to listen to on a long walk.

YCAT Yoga for Musicians

We work very closely with YCAT (Young Classical Artists Trust) to bring the very best young musicians to Saffron Hall as part of our Young Artist Coffee Concert series. We very much enjoyed their video from Matthew Jones, Head of Chamber Music at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, who leads a yoga session specifically tailored to musicians incorporating elements of meditation and Alexander Technique.

Guided Meditation Playlist from Spotify and Headspace

Music streaming service Spotify have teamed up with mindfulness app Headspace for this playlist of guided meditations. Ranging from 1 minute to 10 minutes, this mix of tracks specially designed for beginners walks you through the basics of meditation and then moves on to meditative activities you can do alongside a walk, eating your breakfast or before you exercise.
