His Alex Rider teen spy series has sold a staggering 21 million copies and he has been commissioned to write new novels to continue the James Bond and Sherlock Holmes series, as well as having created the dramas Midsomer Murders and Foyle’s War. He reflects on his writing career in conversation with broadcaster and author Matt Stadlen.
