Aurora Orchestra

Aurora Orchestra

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £15

Price includes a commission of £1.00

The ever-adventurous Aurora Orchestra brings an alluring pairing of Mozart’s unruffled serenity and the volcanic energy of Beethoven.

Imogen Cooper’s poise is perfectly placed to bring out the clarity, charm, and profound depths of Mozart’s masterly final essay in the form, before the orchestra launches another of their now-renowned memorised performances. This Beethoven is dance music in symphonic form, with its wild highs and hedonistic abandon wrapped round the slow movement’s stately tread. The orchestra stands to play from memory, opening up new lines of communication and offering a liberating, intense, and thrilling experience for musicians and audience alike.
