BBC Big Band

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £20

Price includes a commission of £1.00

The internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band are joined by the incredible vocal talents of Elaine Delmar, for an evening of swinging classics inspired by two legends of Big Band and Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.

Through their work individually, as well as through their various album and live collaborations, these two giants of twentieth century music continue to define and epitomise a classic era of music. Through a wonderfully diverse programme, curated by the Orchestra’s conductor and, Barry Forgie, prepare for a swinging evening which brings to life Ella’s and the Duke’s timeless music.

Featuring iconic numbers such as: Take the A Train, Mood Indigo and It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) - through to the likes of That Old Black Magic, Fascinating Rhythm and Someone to Watch Over Me … as well as a few surprises along the way.
