Bassoonist Julie Price joins the BBC Symphony Orchestra for a stunning evening of music, showcasing the Bassoon's solo capabilities.

This irresistible programme begins with the effervescent Overture by Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz and culminates in Dvořák's colourful and joyous Eighth Symphony. These works frame two pieces in which Julie Price takes centre stage: Mozart’s concerto shows the bassoon at its most genial and conversational, while Elgar’s Romance reveals the instrument’s more soulful side.
