Penguin Cafe

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £20

Price includes a commission of £1.00

A very special tour bringing the music of the legendary Penguin Cafe Orchestra back to life. The original band provided a joyfully eclectic alternative soundtrack to the 1970s.

It is a beguiling blend of melodic instrumental pop absorbing influences of folk, minimalism, and world music, producing the catchiest of ear-worms beloved of advertisers ever since; Telephone and Rubber Band, Perpetuum Mobile, Music for a Found Harmonium. Founder member Simon Jeffes’ son Arthur’s collective recreates their signature sound, performing a collection of PCO classics – a slice of 70s musical counterculture recreated for the 2020s.
