Solomon’s Knot
Solomon’s KnotPresented by Saffron Hall

Solomon’s Knot is a baroque vocal ensemble that sings from memory, and without a conductor, opening up new channels of communication with each other, and with us, the audience.
The results are extraordinary, with taut, cohesive performances that are compelling for both their detail and intensity; nothing seems to get in the way of the music. If Messiah is Handel’s most popular oratorio, Israel in Egypt is surely his most dramatic. With its choruses depicting the parting of the Red Sea, the plagues of locusts, fire and ice, violence, despair and jubilation, it is as lavish and pictorial as the subject matter demands and a perfect way for a remarkable collective to make their Saffron Hall debut.
